I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with a degree in Finance. From there, I received my teaching certificate in Math from Tarleton State University in 1991. Finally, I obtained my Masters in Education, also from Tarleton, in 2005 and my Superintendent's certification from ESCXI in 2013. This is my 18th year in education after also having served 10 years in private business.
Welcome to Brock ISD! It is a great opportunity for me to both live and work in Brock and I am excited about the 2017-2018 school year. This will be my eleventh year at Brock ISD and I am proud to be a part of this school district. I served two years as the principal of Brock High School, seven years as the Assistant Superintendent/Athletic Director and this will be my second year as the Superintendent. I am truly honored to serve in this capacity.
I have been married to my wife Amy for 26 years. Amy also serves the Brock ISD as a 1st grade teacher at our elementary. We have three children and all of them graduated from Brock High School. Our oldest, Zach, graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 and is currently working as a CPA at Grant Thornton in Dallas. He is working in the corporate tax division and is excited about his opportunity there. Abbey is our middle child and recently graduated from Texas A&M University as well. She is now working in Dallas as an Events Planning Coordinator for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Lindy just graduated from Brock High School in May, 2017 after attending Brock schools since she was a first grader. She is also an Aggie and is currently a freshman at Texas A&M majoring in Human Resources Development.
I am proud to be a Brock Eagle and truly believe we offer many special opportunities at our school district. Brock ISD continues to excel both academically and in extracurricular activities. Brock High School is currently the defending state champions in Football and Boys Golf! In addtion, Brock High School won the UIL Lone Star Cup in 2009, 2010, 2015 and again in 2016. The Lone Star Cup is awarded each year to the one school in each UIL classification having the most overall academic and athletic success in UIL competition. We strive to offer a wide range of opportunities for all our students and are proud of their accomplishments. Go Brock Eagles!
